About

I’m Naomi. My job is to solve problems through design.

Background

I’m a UX and Product Designer based in Aurora, Colorado, designing systems and experiences that value clarity, care, and independent thinking. I’m most drawn to work that sits at the intersection of people, structure, and meaning—where design can reduce friction without flattening complexity.

Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about philosophy, perspective, and what it means to be a free thinker in a world full of templates—both literal and metaphorical. I believe good design invites curiosity rather than prescribing conclusions, and that the most durable solutions come from questioning assumptions, not just refining them.

I grew up in a military family, which shaped my relationship to change, adaptability, and place. Travel still grounds me in that same curiosity—my most recent adventure took me to Greece—but Colorado remains home, where I live with my ten-year-old miniature poodle, Phoebe. Home, for me, is less about permanence and more about returning to what feels true.

Outside of work, I’m usually chasing experiences that make me feel more awake: front-row concerts, indie films, poetry, stand-up comedy, flaky croissants, and making art for no particular reason other than the joy of it. Writing has become an increasingly important practice for me, and I’m currently working toward publishing a book by the end of 2026.

At the core of everything I do—designing, writing, creating—is a desire to understand people more deeply and to build things that leave room for thought, agency, and interpretation. Creating isn’t just what I do; it’s how I make sense of the world.
